July 4

July 3 - 3rd day of red, white & blue attire!

July 4 we went to my parents' house for the day. Kaylee spent the morning swimming with Grampa and Gramma (and us), and a bunch more family showed up around lunchtime. First picture below looks like Kaylee's thinking, "what do I do with these?" ...then..."Aaahaha! Wave the flags!!" :-) She was not happy when we took the flags and headband away! (I think in the last of these photos she was watching her shadow wave the flags.)

Fun in the pool...

Kaylee's great-grandfather's (PawPaw) 84th birthday was July 6, so we had a celebration for him on the 4th.

Kaylee had fun with all the necklaces!! Putting on, taking off, putting on...

Catch Air

A neighbor introduced us to Catch Air and now we are hooked! Kaylee and I went on Thursday, Tuesday and Thursday...these are photos from all three days. (The last day we went was July 2 - the second of Kaylee's red, white & blue clothing days!)

The first Thursday we went with a neighbor and her 17 month old son, Lane...Tuesday we went with a friend and her 16 month old daughter, Sophie...last Thursday we went with Daddy!

Zoo Atlanta

We went to Zoo Atlanta yesterday; Kaylee's first trip, and Jamie thinks it was his first time there, too! I hadn't been in years, myself. We met up with Margaret and Nate (who literally ran to catch us, as I missed her calls...oops!) We had a great time - were there about 3.5 hours, including a break for lunch. Kaylee really enjoyed it, and made lots of animal sounds while there - her recent favorite is roaring like a lion (I've woken up a couple mornings lately to the sound of a roaring lion on the monitor!), and those were some of the first animals we saw! Flamingos first, which Kaylee got a kick out of, then a python (zoo keeper just standing around holding one on the walkway! No touching, but Kaylee hissed to it. :) ) then the lions and elephants...and on and on. (Meerkats in the first one with her in the stroller - she was pointing at them and laughing. They were running in and out of the tunnels that connected the two sides of their space - you can see one peeking out of each tunnel hole.) Enjoy the photos! As you can see by the end, both she and Nate were wiped out!!!

Oh - and I dressed her in red, white and blue, since we have a few July 4th outfits...this one says "All American Girl."
