Sibling sleepover

Andy is sleeping in Kaylee's trundle bed tonight. They were both finally quiet by 9:30; now I just hope they both sleep well all night. They'll be sleeping in bunk beds when we go on vacation in a month, so we figured we'd try it out before then. The bed in Andy's room is still set up as a crib, so this is his first night not in a contained sleeping space!

Quick, lock the door!

Jamie is helping Kaylee practice Taekwondo kicks, punches and blocks.  Here is what I just heard:

Kaylee: you don't block with your arm if someone has a sword.
Jamie: yeah, if someone is coming at you with a sword you pretty much just run away.
Kaylee: and lock the door.

Makes sense to me!

Conversation with a 2 year old

A conversation I had with Andy today..

me: Andy, Kaylee only has 2 days of school left.
Andy: Oh, no!
me: Then she'll be home all summer.
Andy: Uh-oh!
me: I know! What are we going to do with Kaylee here all summer?
Andy: I don't know! She might eat all my food!

hahaha...2 year olds.

Pre-K graduation

Kaylee graduated from pre-K tonight (but still has 9 days of school left). She's 4th one in from right on the back row.

Andy & Ella

Some photos of Andy & Ella playing today. The one where it looks like he's
pushing her, he's telling her sorry (he rubs your arm or leg or whatever
when he says sorry) because he accidentally ran over her fingers with Mater.

Definitely 2!

Just noticed from his birthday ticker here that Andy is 2 years, 2 months, 2 weeks and 2 days old today!  How appropriate...2, 2, 2, 2...read on.  :)

Last night as we were cuddling before bed, I told Andy I loved him and he held up one finger and said, "one mean you no love me." Then he held up two fingers and continued, "two mean yeah, you love me a lot." I said, "definitely two, buddy." Then he continued to tell me, "one mean you no love me. Two mean yeah, you love me a lot." He must have told me 20 times, each time I told him, "two," and he'd say, "yeah, two, Mommy."

He also likes to tell me what we'll do at night or in the morning. Last week he told me, "I get Socks Ribs, we rock, you sing songs, you put me in bed, you put covers blanket on me, I cuddle Socks Ribs, go night-night." And last night he said, "I go night-night Socks Ribs, in morning you get me, you change my diaper, I turn on light, we go downstairs, I get Lightning and Doc." ("Socks Ribs" are his two lovies, he just doesn't say "and" in between; Lightning (McQueen) and Doc (Hudson) are from Cars.)
