Only child!

Ella is enjoying being an only child this morning/early afternoon and I'm enjoying the relative quiet! Picking up big brother soon, though!

Andy starts preschool!

Today is Andy's first ever day of preschool! Like Kaylee, he is going to the preschool at Lord of Life Lutheran Church 3 days/week (Tues, Thurs, Fri). He also has Ms. Peggy, who was Kaylee's lead teacher. This year she is the assistant teacher and he has Ms. Kathie as his lead teacher. There are only 5 kids in his class - 4 boys and 1 girl - so a lot smaller than the classes Kaylee was in (I think her 2 year class had about 12 or 13 kids). Hopefully he'll have fun and make some friends. Or at least share and be nice!!

He was SO excited this morning about school today! The first thing he did/said when I went in his room this morning was hop up in bed and say, "I ready go to school now!" Then about 20 minutes before we needed to leave, he opened the garage door and started walking to the car. He looks hesitant in the last picture here, but it was just really sunny when he got out of the car. He told the lady who walked him in, "I have a Toy Story lunchbox!" I'm sure I'll hear all about his day when I pick him up soon.

Ready(ish) for Halloween?

Thanks to a consignment sale last night, Andy will soon be ready to head to infinity and beyond as Buzz Lightyear -who he's been saying he wants to be! (Costume needs some minor sleeve and pant leg shortening, and there's an inflatable jet pack/wings we'll get.) There was also the alien costume, so for $5 I got it as a potential costume for Kaylee or as dress up for whoever.  I also got a costume for Ella!  (And a bunch of clothes for Andy and some for Ella). So depending what Kaylee decides on for Halloween, we could be set.

Sleepy, happy baby girl!

Ella woke up briefly this morning, but had dozed off again by the time I went in to get her. Andy even came in her room with me and was very quiet so he wouldn't wake her up. Usually he bursts in saying, "Ella! Good morning, Ella! It time to wake up!" or something similar. This time he didn't say anything, then reached into her crib and gently patted her hand. I took these pictures and ether phone flash didn't even wake her - she did stir and roll over, but didn't wake until we turned off her sound machine and rubbed her belly. Then Andy wanted to get in her bed and play.

More!

For a couple weeks, Ella has been signing "more" by slapping her high chair tray (that's also how she claps...one hand slapping one leg). The past couple days she's started putting her hands together & raising them to sign "more" - still usually hitting her tray, but also doing this some.
