Really sick little kiddos

Last night Kaylee was complaining that her ear was hurting, and this morning she had a slight fever (99.7). Andy's temperature was high again (102.1), so I took them both to the pediatrician this morning. Kaylee's temp was normal when they checked, but she does have an ear infection in her right ear (the one she complained about), so the doctor prescribed Amoxicillin. Andy's temp was just over 100, but I had given him Tylenol a couple hours before they checked, so that had brought it down some. The doctor said it looked like he might be getting an ear infection in his left ear, so he went ahead and prescribed Amoxicillin for Andy, as well. Kaylee hasn't been on it since she was 2 months old, so I'm not sure how it will affect her. Andy had an ear infection and was on it about 6 months ago, so I'm guessing he'll react about the same - it'll clear his ear, but mess with his stomach, resulting in lots of messy diapers and diaper rash. Yay. Poor little guy already has a horrible cough, runny and raw nose, is hoarse and hasn't eaten much except bland carbs the past few days (though he did eat some steak, potatoes and beans tonight, so maybe he's feeling a little better?). I hope this all passes quickly and he's better in more than enough time to celebrate his upcoming birthday!
