Andyisms

He can't say K sounds and often replaces them with a d sound.  So okay sounds like oday and cry sounds like die.  So he'll say, "oh, no! Ella die! It oday, Ella!"

If you ask him something he takes a second to think of it and really quickly says, "oh, hm," then goes on to answer.  I've tried to record it but so far he won't do it if I ask him something while I have the camera on.  Of course!

He switches up the m and n in basement - basenemt

He asks Ella, "Ella want to see Andy go fast?" and I have to make her say, "okay!" then he runs around the coffee table as fast as he can.  "Ella" says, "wow, Andy, you're so fast!" and he says breathlessly, "yeah! I so fast!"

If I tell Andy he's my big guy he says, "yeah, I big guy like Daddy big guy."

If I ask Andy what someone's name is and he doesn't know, he says, "oh, hm, I no no what that guy name."

Tired girl

Last night Kaylee was supposed to be brushing her teeth and getting ready for bed as we were saying goodnight to Andy. I heard her in her bathroom singing and peeked in (she didn't see me). I was about to go in, but just watched because it looked like she was getting her toothbrush. She dropped it, picked it up, then dropped her toothpaste. Then I about burst out laughing after her little monologue. "First I drop my toothbrush, then my toothpaste. *sigh* I'm a mess. I'm getting tired." I told Jamie and he said, "she's too young to have thoughts like that!"

Sleepy thinker

This is how I've been swaddling Ella for the past few days. She doesn't seem to want her hands in the swaddle, but won't go to sleep with her arms out, so we compromised. :-)

Whew!

Andy is just tall enough to see his head in the beveled part of the mirror when he stands on the stool in the downstairs bathroom. He said, "oh, no! My head broken!" Then he felt his head & said, "oh, my head no broken." :-)

New rides

We finally got Kaylee's and Andy's birthday presents this past weekend. Kaylee had a 12" bike which was way outgrown; this new one is an 18" - hopefully it will last her a few years. Andy got a new Buzz Lightyear scooter. They both seem to enjoy them, though Andy might be more excited about the pictures of Buzz on the scooter than the actual scooter.

New styles

Andy was trying out some new looks this evening. Making faces in the mirror with funny hair is much more fun than brushing teeth!

Hands off!

Even in his sleep, Andy clung to his basket on the way home. His treasure was 1 empty egg & a snack pack of goldfish crackers.

Ice pack

Yesterday we were playing outside & Kaylee scraped her leg a little in the cul-de-sac. She ran inside to get an ice pack for it & came back like this! If you can't tell, that's a wine bottle cooler she slipped over her foot. :-) It didn't last long on her leg as she said it was too freezing.
